USM-600 Server Monitor Setup

Environment

  • Monitoring Server: USM-600 or USM Box PC Devices

  • OS: Windows 10 1809, Ubuntu 20.04.3

  • Security: Geovision IP Camera, Intel OpenVINO.

  • Environment Sensors: USM-S62, TREK-120

  • Edge software: Industrial SDK, DeviceChecking Tool

Architecture

USM-S62 Setup

  1. Check USM-S62 IP address

a. Connect LAN cable from USM-S62 to PoE Switch

b. Plug-in USM-S62 adapter to boot-up USM-S62 to obtain DHCP IP address

c. Connect LAN cable from USM-S62 to your notebook

d. Modify notebook IPv4 IP address: 172.0.0.100 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

e. Open PuTTY and connect SSH 172.0.0.1

f. login as: root

password: 1234

g. Input ifconfig to obtain IP address For example: 172.22.24.5

h. Connect LAN cable from USM-S62 to PoE Switch

2. Power on TREK-120

a. Press REC once to check TREK-120 status i. Power off: one light flash ii. Power on: two light flash

b. Press REC over 2 seconds to power on TREK-120

c. Press REC over 7 seconds to power off TREK-120

3. Set USM-S62 IP address to EdgeX device service

a. Open C:\Advantech\EdgeX\DeviceService\USM-S6X\res\GatewayConfig.xml

b. Modify host IP address obtained in Step 1-g.

c. Reboot USM-600

4. Open DeviceChecking URL 127.0.0.1:9033

5. Click Dashboard->Sensor Information to retrieve TREK-120 upload data

IPCam Setup

1. Please enter USM-600 Windows System

2. Execute GV IP Device Utility on Desktop

3. Retrieve camera IP with MAC Address 0013E2200F67

4. Click IP Address browse to IPCam Setting with admin/admin

5. Click Setup to obtain Serial No.

6. Open DeviceChecking URL 127.0.0.1:9033

7. Login with admin/admin

8. Click Network Devices->IP Camera->IP Config page and click Add Config

9. Input IPCam IP address, ID:admin, Password:admin then press submit

10. Click Tag Config and click Add Config

11. Input Serial Number with IPCam MAC, Tags then press submit

12. Click Scan page and press Scan to retrieve IPCam

13. Click preview to watch the snapshot image on browser

OpenVINO Setup

1. Please enter USM-600 Linux System

2. Set IPCam IP address into /home/adv/usm-intrusion-detect-monitor/vaservin/run.conf

3. Set USM-600 Windows System IP into /home/adv/usm-intrusion-detect-monitor/ruleengine/create_rules.sh

4. Open terminal and cd to /home/adv/usm-intrusion-detect-monitor

5. Input “make deploy” then press enter to start

6. You might need to input password 1234 for sudo during process

7. Check Linux IP and then you can browse the live detect video via http://172.22.25.24:7880/
